Ezidoesit Professional Installation Instructions
To install Ezidoesit follow the instructions below.
Ezidoesit install
This requires broadband Internet access from your desktop or notebook PC because the install process downloads support files from the Microsoft website.
If you are running Microsoft Outlook 2007 click on the Ezidoesit_1_1_xx_2007.exe program file. The xx is the version number and this will vary depending on what is the latest version no when you download the Ezidoesit program. As an example the filename would be Ezidoesit_1_1_59_2007.exe.
If you are running Microsoft Outlook 2003 then the file would be Ezidoesit_1_1_59_2003.exe.
The Ezidoesit installation requires that you have local administrator rights on your computer.
The install process checks whether the following software components are already installed on your computer and if they are not it will first download them from the Microsoft website and then install them.
- Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 - 10 minutes
- Office 2007 Primary Interop Assemblies - (for Outlook 2007) - 1 minute
- Visual Studio Tools for Office 3.0 runtime - (for Outlook 2007) - 1 minute
- Office 2003 Primary Interop Assemblies - (for Outlook 2003) - 1 minute
- Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office Second Edition runtime - (for Outlook 2003) - 1 minute
- SQL Server 2005 Express Edition SP2 - 7 minutes
- Ezidoesit - 1 minute
The install time is mostly spent installing the latest version of the Microsoft .NET Framework or runtime file and SQL Server. All of the above items should be installed in 20 minutes.
Once the above files are installed future updates to the Ezidoesit software will take under 30 seconds to install. If you have any of these components installed on your computer the install time will be much faster.
Note: In Windows Vista a message to re-start your computer will display in the bottom right of the screen. Choose restart later. If the Ezidoesit install process asks you to re-install your computer answer Yes.
Updates to Ezidoesit are on the Ezidoesit website under the Updates menu.
DO NOT reboot your computer if Windows Vista or XP asks you to as this will cause the Ezidoesit installation to fail. This request can be displayed on Windows Vista after the .NET Framework is installed. Select the option to delay this reboot until after the Ezidoesit installation finishes.
