The Elevator Bar is the power behind Ezidoesit that enables email requests for action to be turned into Ezidoesit Tasks and scheduled into the Outlook Calendar. We think that with very little practice, Ezidoesit users can turn emails into tasks and schedule them in 15 seconds or less. There are two of Elevator Bar, the first type is the one displayed below.
The colours on the elevator bar represent the priorities - critical, high, medium and low. The Elevator can be displayed vertically or horizontally and can be positioned on the Outlook menu or anywhere over the Outlook inbox.
By dropping an email onto a colour on the Elevator bar the Ezidoesit tasks default settings are controlled by how you have set the settings for this priority task. This includes the priority, the task length in hours and what happens to the original email after the task is saved - delete it from your Outlook inbox, move it to another folder or leave it in the inbox.
You can also set a default time in days for the deadline date. The rules in the Ezidoesit Settings option control how automated your Ezidoesit task process is.
In Ezidoesit Enterprise Edition you have the option in Settings to display two extra colours - blue and white.
Blue is used to drag and drop emails onto that you want to archive and white is used with the EziAnswer option; just drag and drop one or more emails onto the white colour and then when the Emails to Answer reminder email is sent to you, answer these emails in groups. This avoids the ping pong distraction of answering emails as soon as they arrive in your Outlook Inbox.
